This research group works on better understanding and assessing animal welfare, and using that knowledge to ask questions about what animals need in their lives to have good welfare when managed by humans. Our main focus is farm animals, including dairy cattle and mink.

We work at the Truro campus of Dalhousie (the 'AC'), home of the Faculty of Agriculture.
